Electronic Giving is the term used to describe automatic methods for making contributions on a regular basis without the need to write checks, carry cash, or prepare envelopes.

Q:   What are the benefits of enrolling in SMdM's electronic offertory program?


A:   The electronic offertory program's main purpose is convenience for you and consistency for the church. Electronic giving eliminates frequent check writing for you and helps our members stay on track with pledges even when they are unable to attend services. The church benefits from much needed donation consistency and a reduction in the volume of cash and check contributions that must be manually processed by the church office.



Q:   Are there any costs for signing up?


A:   No, there are no costs for enrolling in this program, only the donation.



Q:   How do I enroll in the program?


A:   There are two ways to sign up. Your first option is to go to the church's website and click "Donate Now" and follow the instructions- it takes less than 30 seconds to enroll. By enrolling online you now have the ability to manage and view your personal giving profile. Your second option is to simply complete the authorization form and drop it off at the church office during normal hours.



Q:   Is this safe?


A:   Absolutely! Security is our number one priority; every transaction is completed using 128 bit SSL technology. All that means is that there is no stronger form of protection than this encryption. By doing this, we eliminate the possibility for fraudulent activity



Q:   How can I keep track of my donations?


A:   You have access to your giving profile 24/7, where you can view/print all of your transaction history. You will also continue to receive your annual giving statement from the church for tax purposes.



Q:   What do I put in the basket for collection?


A:   In each pew there will be offertory cards for those enrolled in the electronic offertory program.



Q:   What if I try the electronic offertory program and I do not like it?


A:   You can cancel anytime by logging into your account or by calling the toll free number.



Q:   What is the refund policy?


A:   Refunds are not given for donations that have posted that have posted, but you can log into the application and cancel auto donations at any time.
